Anger as Job Seeker is Murdered in Akwa Ibom

Iniobong Umoren, an Akwa Ibom resident who went missing after going for a purported job interview, has been found dead.

Umoh Uduak, Umoren’s friend, had raised an alarm after the deceased suddenly went missing.

“Y’all my friend @HinyHumoren is in trouble and she needs our help. I’m currently in Lagos and I can’t help than to put this out there. Earlier today she told me she was going for a job interview at airport road which is quite far from her house,” Uduak had tweeted.

During the weekend, news broke that Umoren had been murdered and this triggered another set of reactions.

Two days before Umoren went missing, she had announced on Twitter that she was searching for a job.

“Please I’m really in need of a job, something to do to keep mind and soul together while contributing dutifully to the organisation. My location is Uyo, I’m creative, really good in thinking critically/ and most importantly a fast learner. CV available on request.”

The prime suspect, Uduak Frank Akpan has finally been apprehended and he confessed to raping and killing Ini after which he buried her in a shallow grave.

Following pressure from social media on the police,he ran to Oron in Akwa Ibom State and later to Uruan where he was arrested.
