…as 1994 set donates customized exercise books, other materials to mark 30th anniversary of leaving the school.

Brilliant Students of Odo-Oro High School, Odo-Oro Ekiti, Ikole Local Government in Ekiti State have enjoyed reward of hard work as one of the old students of the school, Mr Dare Owolabi presented scholarship awards of one hundred thousand naira each to best students in Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Also, the 1994 set of the school donated customized books and other materials to the students and school to mark 30th anniversary of graduating from Odo Oro High school, Odo Oro, Ekiti.
Speaking during the programme held at Odo Oro High School to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of 1994 old students of the school , Mr Owolabi said the money was given to the outstanding students to pay their NECO examination fee and purchase books during their final year in the school.
Mr Owolabi who is a member of the 1991 set, promised that he would continue to give back to the school and ensure that the scholarship become an annual event to aid learning and teaching in the citadel of learning.
In his speech, the Onise of Odo-Oro Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Jemileyin who is also a member of the 1994 set of the school, urged students of the school to be focused with their education in order to be relevant in the society and able to give back to the school in future.
Oba Jemileyin appealed to other old students of the school to emulate the 1994 set and others who have being contributing towards the development and advancement of Odo Oro High School
Earlier, Principal of the school, Mr Oni Oladiti commended the old students, Onise of Odo-Oro Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Jemileyin, Dr Olugbenga Popoola, Mr Dare Owolabi and others for their contributions to the development of the school in terms of learning and teaching materials.
On his part, the Chairman Planning Committee of the programme who is also a member of 1994 set of Odo Oro High school, Dr Olugbenga Popoola said it was necessary to give back to the school as the source of their inspiration to become relevant in the society.
In separate interviews, some of the students appreciated the 1994 old students, Oba Babatunde Jemileyin, Mr Dare Owolabi and others for deeming it fit to contribute to their education.
At a get together organised by the 1994 Old Students, awards of excellence were presented to some of their old teachers such as Chief David Asaolu, Pastor Williams Oloruntoba, Pastor Adeleke Aladeloye, Chief Margaret Oguntuase, Mrs Maurice Ogundana and Mr M.S Okimi.
