The former Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and three others have been rearraigned before the Federal Capital Territory High Court on a 14 count charge bordering on stealing and criminal breach of trust to the tune of over One hundred and Nine billion naira by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Commission had on July 22, arraigned the defendants before Justice Adeyemi Ajayi who was a vacation judge of the same court and on same count charges and the matter has now been reassigned to a regular judge, prompting the re-arraignment.
Justice Halilu Yusuf, the new trial judge upheld the former bail of the defendants after taking their plea and fixed November 23, 2022 for trial.
Other Defendants in the matter are Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Usman and Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited.
