More than 18 ailing citizens of Ekiti state have received cheques for treatment of various diseases plaguing them.
The wife of the Governor Erelu Bisi performed the presentation of cheques to beneficiaries at Oba Adejugbe health centre in Ado Ekiti.
She said government would not relent in its efforts at supporting indigents of the state most especially in the area of improving their health standard.
“It is important to support the citizens and we pray that the beneficiaries get well on time”
Erelu Fayemi however advised residents of the state to key into health insurance scheme introduced by government so as to reduce expenses incurred while undergoing treatment at various Health facilities.
Earlier, the state commissioner for health Dr Oyebanji Fulani reteriterated government’s efforts in ensuring healthy lifestyle for its citizens.
He announced that various medical equipments have been Procured this year to give quality healthcare to the people, urging the beneficiaries to use the money for purpose it was meant for.
Some of the beneficiaries including Mr Ojo Samuel Ayodele, Mr Onipede olusola, Mr Akeem oseni among others appreciated the efforts of the state government for coming to their aid.
Over twenty six million Naira was given to the beneficiaries.
