ADO L.G. IN EKITI STATE DISTRIBUTES PALLIATIVES TO VULNERABLE PERSONS

One hundred and eighty four communities in Ado-Ekiti metropolis in Ekiti State are to benefit from palliative items distributed to vulnerable persons by Ado local government.

While flagging off the distribution in Ado-Ekiti, the Council Chairman, Mrs. Omotunde Fajuyi said the distribution which was in phases would run for three days.

Mrs. Fajuyi described the gesture as part of measures put in place by Governor Kayode Fayemi to cushion the effect of COVID19 on residents of the state, stressing that residents of the satellite areas in Ado-Ekiti would benefit from the palliatives in response to their agitations.

She however, urged the community leaders to ensure that the items got to the targeted people who were in need of them.

The Ado council boss also explained that databases of all households in Ado Ekiti, the state capital had commenced to facilitate equal distribution of social amenities in the council.

Some of the beneficiaries including Messrs Femi Owoeye and Julius Olaseeni expressed gratitude to the Ado local government and the State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi for extending dividend of democracy to them, promising the support of their communities to get accurate data.
