Over one hundred members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti South Federal Constituency one have benefited from the empowerment programme of the lawmaker representing the constituency at the National Assembly, Chief Yemi Adaramodu.
The beneficiaries of the programme which was held at the palace of Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti were drawn from each ward across the constituency.
The items distributed include cars, motorcycles, refrigerators, sewing and weaving machines, generating sets, hairdryers, plasma televisions, gas cylinders among others.
Addressing the people, Chief Yemi Adaramodu said the purpose of the empowerment was to encourage leaders and members for their loyalty to the party.
The Legislator noted that this was the first phase of his physical empowerment, saying he will soon organise another one which will be meant for different group of people.
Chief Adaramodu who promised to continue to prioritise the welfare of his constituents said he had carried out many development projects in towns and villages under Ekiti South federal constituency one.
In a remark, APC Chairman in Ekiti state, Mr. Paul Omotoso said Chief Adaramodu had contributed immensely towards improving the living standard of the people, describing him as a good representative.
Mr. Omotoso noted that the lawmaker had not been found wanting in the growth and development of the party.
The APC Chairman, Ikere local government, Pastor Kayode Oyebode commended the legislator for his decision to encourage the people who gave him the mandate.
Two of the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme, Mr. Bobade Ajayi and Mr. Omoyeni Opeyemi appreciated Chief Yemi Adaramodu for the gesture and prayed God to replenish him.
