Three persons have been reportedly feared dead in a ghastly road accident involving a commercial bus and a Toyota car along Iworoko road in in Ado Ekiti.
Witnesses at the scene of the incident said passengers who sustained various degrees of injuries had been taken to the Emergency unit of Ekiti state Teaching Hospital.
The witnesses observed that the incident was caused by speeding and wrongful overtaking on the part of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
They alleged that the driver of the car who was on high speed was trying to overtake another car before it involved in head on collision with the Ilorin bound fourteen seaters commercial bus.
It took men of the Federal road safety corps, policemen and other sympathisers to remove one of the occupants of the car who got stuck in the vehicle for about two hours.
They called on drivers to always exercise patient while on the road and appealed to Ekiti state government to construct second wing of the road to check incessant accident.
The witnesses also stressed the need for road safety officials be present on the route in order to curtail incessant accidents on the road.
