Residents of Aaye-Oja Ekiti in Moba local government have appealed to the State Government to provide assistance for those affected by the rainstorm which wrecked havoc in the town.
The Alaaye of Aaye-Oja, Oba Olatoye Ayanniyi made the appeal during an interview with a progress FM reporter in Aaye-Oja Ekiti.
Oba Ayanniyi stated that the rain which fell last Wednesday was accompanied by heavy storm, thereby affecting many buildings in the town.
Also speaking, the Olukosi of Aaye-Oja Ekiti, Chief Sola Fasiku said many people have been rendered homeless, as a result of the storm, urging the state government to assist them.
On his part, one of the community leaders, Mr. Gbenga Arinde noted that the victims were mostly peasant Farmers with low income, hence the call on government, Organizations and individuals to come to their aid.
