FOCUS MORE ON SERVICE DELIVERY, OYEBANJI URGES PERMANENT SECRETARIES

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has charged Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service to focus more on service delivery in the overall interest of the state.

The Governor gave the charge on Tuesday during his first meeting with the Permanent Secretaries at the Governor’s office, Ado-Ekiti.

Unfolding his policy direction at the meeting, Oyebanji said his administration would consolidate on policies and programmes of the immediate past administration led by Dr Kayode Fayemi.

He, however added that the style would be different.

The Governor said attention would be on result and not effort, adding that there would be consequences for poor performance.

While pleading for their support in actualising his campaign promises, Oyebanji assured the Permanent Secretaries that government would prioritise their welfare within available resources. He also urged them to see Ekiti as their project.

“I need to earn your support. I want you to see Ekiti as our project and your concern should be how can we assist our people.”, he said.
