The Federal Road Safety Corps Ekiti State Command says it will not hesitate to sanction any motorist caught violating traffic rules on the highways especially during this ember months.
FRSC State Sector Commander, Mr. Olusola Joseph stated this while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the preparedness of the corps for Ember Months.
Mr Joseph explained that most of the accidents recorded on the highways was as a result of impatience on the part of road users , particularly Commercial drivers and Motorcyclists.
” He said that motorists should avoid journey of no return, many Okada Riders were in the habit of manoeuvering in dangerous places”
He pointed out that many Motorcyclists were fond of manoeuvering on small portion of the road, especially in Ado metropolis, saying such act has resulted to accidents which claimed lives .
The FRSC Sector Commander in Ekiti urged commercial drivers and Motorcyclists to be mindful of bad portions on the road across the states to avoid untimely death.
“Any motorist caught flouting the rules guiding them on the road, saying FRSC would not fold it hands to continue to allow some motorists to continue to waste lives on the highways”
