Men of the Pen Profession have been advised to be abreast of innovations in the practice of Journalism.
The Director General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN, Dr. Mansur Liman gave the advice during a day training organized for members of News Department Progress FM Ado Ekiti.
Dr. Liman who was represented by the Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, Ibadan Zonal Station, Chief Tunde Abiodun explained that for journalists to thrive in the profession, they must adjust to the new ideas that has just been introduced to the profession.
The Director General listed such innovations to include advent of new media, giving good content among others.
Also, the Acting General Manager of Progress FM, Mrs. Bola Agbaje charged the participants to make use of the training to improve on news production.
Speaking, the host of the training who is the Manager News and Current Affairs Progress FM Ado Ekiti, Mr. Bunmi Oluwalana lauded the efforts of the management for organizing the training, noting that it would enhance the performance of members of news room.
