Amotekun officials apprehend suspected Fulani strangers in Ado Ekiti.

Officials of Western Security Network WNBS known as Amotekun have apprehended two trailers this evening at fajuyi junction Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital.

While one of the trailers was loaded with new motorcycles, the other one was loaded with more than fifty young men between the ages of 14 and 21 years.

The movement of the trailers had caught the attention of the passers by and therefore stopped them before calling the officials of the security network known as Amotekun for their arrest.

Before their apprehension, various questions were thrown to the suspected Fulani men as they could not profer answer to where they were coming from and where they were going.

Few of the passers by who preferred anonymity expressed fear that they were strangers who have allegedly come to invade the state capital.

They also maintained that their suspicious movement and their motorcycles were instrument used to gain access to all nooks and crannies of the environment that harbours them.

The respondent also alleged that the suspected strangers could be released to the environment if care is not taken instead of sending them back to where they were coming from.

They maintained that the ugly development had been the major cause of geometric progression in the numbers of kidnapping cases around South West Nigeria.

The people urged concerned authorities and government to be serious with the protection of citizens’ life and properties without prejudice or biased for ethnic groups.

As at the time of this report, Ekiti State Police command was yet to comment on the development.
