EKITI SSA ON ELECTORAL MATTERS RESIGNS APPOINTMENT, DEFECTS TO SDP.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electoral Matter, Mr. Olaiya Kupolati has resigned his appointment and defected from the All Progressives Congress APC, to the Social Democratic Party, SDP to work for the success of Chief Segun Oni in the forthcoming Governorship election in Ekiti.

Mr Kupolati said he tendered his resignation letter out of his beliefs in the ability and passion of Chief Segun Oni to make Ekiti great and bring the dividend of democracy to the grassroots.

Mr Kupolati who described the SDP Governorship Candidate as man of the people, whose abilities to transform Ekiti had been tested and trusted, expressed the believe that if the people could give him the Governorship mandate, he would not only fast track development across the sectors of economy but also bring succour to the civil servants and pensioners in Ekiti.

While receiving the APC Stalwart in Iye Ekiti, the SDP, Chairman in Ilejemeje, Pastor Rotimi Dare described Mr Olaiya Kupolati as a honest and patriotic political leader who had always work based on his conviction.

Other Stalwarts of Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Ilejemeje, Mr Benjamin Olajide popularly called Benje, Chief Kehinde Babatola and Mrs Mojisola Ajayi congratulated Mr Kupolati for taking a good decision to join their political party in order to bring an end to the current economic hardship and insecurity in every part of the state.

They emphasized that Chief Segun Oni had all it takes to bring Ekiti out of the present financial predicament and placed the state on an economic sound footing.
