Ilupeju Ekiti Youths Leadership Organizes Skills Acquisition Training for Members

A three day skills acquisition training for youth in Ilupeju-Ekiti has commenced with a message to them to ensure that utilize acquired skills to become relevant in the society.

The training tagged “Ilupeju Ecofest Youth Summit 2022” was organised by Ilupeju Development Association in partnership with Venision International Foundation.

While taking the youths through some business ideas,the resource person,who is also an entrepreneur,Evangelist Gbenga Babalola urged them to promote their handwork through packaging and rebranding.

“Packaging is very important for any business you do. No matter how small your business is, give it a brand name, give it packaging and you will see how acceptable it will be”.

Evangelist Babalola said that youths should not wait until they have huge capital before starting their business,urging them not to be afraid of little beginning.

While speaking,the President of Ilupeju-Ekiti Youths Forum,Mr. Femi Fagbemi explained that the training was organised to open the eyes of the young ones to legitimate businesses they could venture into rather than indulging in rituals and other criminal activities.

“Nowadays, youths do not want to work but want to have money. The rate at which young ones now run after money is worrisome, rituals here and there, internet frauds and many other criminal activities are inherent in them”

“So we thought it right to educate our Youths here on what they can do to legitimately have the money. Obtaining skills that would fend them daily needs and be okay” Mr Fagbemi said.

In a remark,the Vice Chairman, Ilupeju-Ekiti Development Association,Prince Hamzat Rasak commended the youths association leadership under Mr. Femi Fagbemi for such training,saying it would go a long way in making the youths to be useful for themselves and the society.
