Ekiti 2022 Poll: Ajijola Remains Repositioning Group’s Candidate

The Lateef Ajijola Campaign Organization has advised the public and PDP members in Ekiti State to disregard a statement credited to one Engr Alaba Agboola nullifying the pre primary election where Alhaji lateef Ajijola was elected as preferred candidate of repositioning group.

In a statement by the executive secretary of Lateef Ajijola Campaign Organization, Mr Dapo Olagunju called on all repositioning leaders and members to disregard the said statement as it does not reflect the wishes and decision of the Elders’ Committee.

Mr Olagunju said “we wish to remind Alaba Agboola that the repositioning group is a collection of party faithfuls who will not allow any imposition of candidate on the group,as this is one of the basis of their coming together”.

He noted that Lateef Ajijola has been endorsed and elected by majority of the leaders of repositioning group as their Candidate, saying nothing can change that.

Mr Olagunju said anybody who is dissatisfied with the outcome of the mini primary election should go ahead to obtain a form and contest in the election.

He said leaders and members of repositioning group should be unperturbed by the irresponsible and uncredible press release of a group chairman who was openly campaigning for a defeated candidate.

“Alaba Agboola has soiled is hands, and unfit to lead a group such as the repositioning. We hereby advise him to resign from is position as Chairman and keep his mouth shut forever”.

Mr Olagunju therefore urged supporters of Lateef Ajijola to continue promoting him ahead of the Party’s primary Election.
