Deji of Akure Becomes Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved the appointment of the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi as the Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas.

The chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Richard Olatunde announced this in a statement in Akure.

Oba Aladelusi’s appointment follows the expiration of the two-year single term of the immediate past Chairman of the council, the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Fredrick Eniolorunda Obateru Akinruntan, who was appointed on the 13th September, 2019.

The tenure of the new Chairman begins today, 14th September, 2021.

Governor Akeredolu appreciated the council under the leadership of the immediate past Chairman, the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Obateru Akinruntan who did excellently well and gave all necessary supports to ensure that people of Ondo State enjoy good governance.

He urged the new chairman to improve on the record of his predecessor by working in harmony with other royal fathers and the government in ensuring the development of the state.
