The Alasa of Ilasa Ekiti, Oba Ajayi Oluwasesan Omolagba has suspended the Eesunla of Igbale Quarters, Ilasa Ekiti, Mr Oluwadare Folayan for alleged rebellion, gross misconduct and dereliction of his duties as a chief.
This is contained in a letter served on the suspended chief and personally signed by the Alasa, Oba Ajayi Oluwasesan Omolagba
The letter titled” Persistent Neglect Of Duties As Traditional Chief: Removal From Office As Chief Eesunla Of Igbale Quarters, Ilasa Ekiti, directed Mr. Folayan to stop parading himself as chief of Ilasa Ekiti and forbidden from adorning any paraphernalia of a chief.
According to the letter, Mr. Folayan failed to show remorse despite all entreaties hence the sanction.
He was also notified that by virtue of his suspension, he is no longer entitled to any right and privilege of a chief.
Members of the public are hereby advised to take note of the new development and relate with Mr. Fomayan accordingly.
The monarch urged residents of Ilasa, government and other relevant bodies to stop fraternising with Mr Folayan, saying he was no more in capacity to act as one of the chiefs of Ilasa Ekiti
