Ekiti state Government has announced list of the newly created Local Council Development Areas with their headquarters.
According to a statement from the Director for Transportation, Service and Delivery, and Special Adviser to the Governor, Professor, Aluko the LCDAs were created under Law 10 of 2014 proposed amendment.
The local government Development Areas and their Headquarters are Ado West Okesha, Ado North Okeila, Ado Central Ijigbo, Ekiti South LG, Isokan, Igbara Do/Ogotu LG Okeagbe, Isokan LG, Ifaki, Ekameta LG, Erinjiyan Ekiti, Okemesi/Idoile LG, Okemesi Ekiti.
Others are Ayekire LG -Ode Ekiti, Irewolede LG- Iloro Ekiti, Irede LG-Ipoti, Ikere West LG- Anaye, Ajoni LG- Okeayedun Ekiti, Ilole West LG- Ijesa-isu Ekiti, Araromi LG- Iyin Ekiti, Ifedara LG Igbemo Ekiti, Ero LG Igogo Ekiti, Ifesowapo LG Isan Ekiti, Ifeloju LG Ilupeju Ekiti.
With the existing, sixteen local government areas created in the state in 1996 by the late former Head of state, General Sani Abacha, Ekiti State presently have thirty five local government areas.
