According to the police prosecutor, Johnson Okunade said, the defendants on or about 15th of June, 2021 at Alex Grace Hotel, Oke Ila, Ado Ekiti did conspired to obtain money under false pretence that Suluka Abimbola was in the kidnappers custody for ransom with intend to defraud and obtained a sum of #500,000 from her mother, Suluka Abimbola, an offense punishable under sections 516 and 419 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
Magistrate A.O. Oyebanji granted the four defendants bail in the sum #50,000 with one surety in the like sum, the surety must be resident and owned landed property within Ado Ekiti Magisterial District.
The matter is adjourned to 5th July, 2021 for hearing.
