The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has fixed eighteenth of June 2022 for the Governorship election in Ekiti State.
The commission cited Section 178 (1) &(2) of the 1999 Constitution and section 25 (8) of the Electoral Act which empower INEC to conduct election to the office of the Governor not earlier than 150 days and not later than 30 days before the expiration of the term of office of the last
holder of fiat office.
