Congestion at Banks, Heavy Vehicular Movements Greet Workers Resumption in Ekiti

The resumption of Workers and business activities in Ekiti state after the international Workers day holiday, resulted in heavy human and vehicular movement in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Radio Nigeria progress FM Reporter who went round to monitor the resumption said the large number of the vehicles caused gridlock around Fajuyi, Adebayo and Old Garage but the traffic wardens were able ti ensure orderliness.

According to the report, financial institutions were besiege as early as eight o’clock in the morning, with hundreds of customers mounting the door of bank and their ATM machine.


A look at some banks along Adebayo, Fajuyi to Secretariat roads made it clear that some of their ATM machines were malfunctioning while some did not even function at all, making people to be stranded.

Some of the customers advised officers of financial institutions to always ease the suffering of customers by putting their ATM in good condition and load them with enough money particularly, anytime customers were resuming from holiday, since they might have ran out of cash.
