There was panic among residents of Iyin and Igede Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government of Ekiti State today over report that some kidnappers are in the towns to perpetrate evil.
Radio Nigeria gathered that parents were seen going to schools to pick their children even before the closing hour.
The situation led to confusion and apprehension among the residents especially parents as they were seen running helter-skelter to get their wards.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, Mr Sunday Abutu confirmed the development and said police personnel have been mobilized to the area.
