The Management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has lifted ban placed on activities of the Institution’s four staff unions (ASUU, SSANU, NAAT and NASU) in the campus.
It also ordered that normal academic activities should resume.
The Information and Corporate Affairs Officer, Mr Bode Olofinmuagun therefore, advised the EKSU students to return to the campus and continue their academic activities.
The Governing Council of the institution had last week Friday shut the University following continued protests and tension, caused by the Four unions which threatened the peace and orderliness on the campus.
The Governing council also proscribed the four Unions and suspended academic activities in the university.
A statement by the management indicates that the Governing Council had received series of pleas and interventions from well meaning individuals, Corporate bodies as well as EKSU Alumni, which made the council to lift the ban.
