The Governing Council of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti says the announced proscription of staff Unions in the institution affects their activities within the campus and its immediate environment.
The management also states that, the policy of no-work no -pay will be enforced in the university.
A statement by the Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr Bode Olofinmuagun says the directive was taken during a special meeting by the Governing Council.
According to the statement, the suspension of academic activities in the university does not include online classes.
It says all staff both academic and non-teaching must be at their duty posts without fear as adequate measures have been put in place to guarantee their safety.
