The Ekiti State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barrister Mrs Iyabo Fakunle has ordered people that dumped building materials on the roads to remove them before Saturday Environmental Sanitation or face sanction
The Commissioner gave the directive while addressing Journalists in Ado Ekiti .
She condemned the attitude of some people towards dumping of gravels, sand and other building materials on the roads which according to her constitute nuisance to our environment and block motorists from plying the roads
Mrs Okieimen stressed that these building materials can also cause accident which can claim lives, if they are not removed or properly kept.
According to her, the present administration is commited to protection of people’s lives and properties as it works round the clock to provide conducive, clean and healthy environment for the people of the state.
The Commissioner advised the people to complement the efforts of government by abstaining from the attitudes that can cause havoc for the society.
