Thirty seven year old son of late Chad’s President, General Mahamat Idriss -Deby has taken over as the new leader of the country.
Upon taken over, General Mahamat Idris dissolved the government and the national assembly.
President Idriss Deby was declared dead today due to injuries sustained on the war front.
The country’s Army are currently combating rebel forces who launched an assault on the capital, N’Djamena.
Late President Idriss Deby was yesterday announced as the winner of the last Presidential election having said to have won about eighty percent of the votes to occupy the office for the sixth term.
The President who had already spent five terms in office came into power in 1990.
