Nigerians have been urged not to be weary in the face of various challenges being experienced in the world presently.
The President, Mothers Union, Ekiti Anglican Diocese, Mrs. Margaret Omotunde gave the advice at the 35th Mothers Union Conference held at Emmanuel Anglican Cathedral, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti.
Mrs. Omotunde said the economic problem, unemployment, insecurity and family issues which many people were facing could cause frustration, but they should continue to fight the good fight of faith for them to finish well and inherit the kingdom of God.
The Wife of the Bishop who said this year’s Mothers conference would serve as her last as her husband prepares for retirement told the women to allow God to lead their ways, be resolute in their faith and avoid worldliness in order to fight successfully in their faith.
In his goodwill message, the Bishop of Ekiti Anglican Diocese and the ArchBishop of Ondo Province, Most Reverend Christopher Omotunde advised the women not to shirk in their faith and responsibility of ensuring a virile society.
On their parts, Retired Bishops Samuel Abe and Michael Ipinmoye said the theme of the conference “Fighting the good fight of faith” was timely, given the fact that there were many decadence in the society which should be corrected by Christians.
Also, the wives of the Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Mrs. Oyewola Blessing, that of Ido Ani Diocese, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Adara and wife of the Dean of the Cathedral, Dr. M.A Bankole expressed optimism that the conference would impact positively on the participants in managing their marriages, families and the society at large.
