Mr faparusi explained that all governments facilities including State teaching hospital, secretariat, water corporation, street light among others would be placed on the power plant while energy generated from the national grid would be channelled to the residents.

“when we came on board we realised that energy received by the state was abysmal low as it is less than four hours in a day to some parts of the state” He explained.

The commissioner added that the ten years agreement would be legislated at the state house of Assembly to ensure its sustainability.

Mr faparusi commended the initiative of governor kayode fayemi’s led administration at sourcing for alternative means of getting electricity to the state.

Responding, the chief Executive officer of the energy development company, Mr funso Adeyemi promised that the six months target meant for the delivery of the project would be met by August.

“We hope to build a continuous relationship with the state and we shall work to specifications” he said.
