Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State have called for amicable settlement of misunderstanding between the former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayodele Fayose and the Senator Representing Ekiti South, Chief Biodun Olujimi which has led to the division of the party.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of a meeting held in Ado Ekiti.
One of the leaders of the party, former National Assembly member, Senator Clement Awoyelu, while welcoming stakeholders, noted that the misunderstandings in the party especially between chief Ayo Fayose and Senator Biodun Olujimi has cost the party electoral and financial misfortune.
Other stakeholders at the meeting said that the party would become a force, if the two groups resolve their differences and unify as one strong virile party
The leaders resolved that Chief Clement Awoyelu should liase with former governor Ayodele Fayose, Senator Biodun Olujimi, and other leaders with a view to resolve whatsoever differences between them so that Ekiti PDP could occupy its rightful place in the political sphere.
