Breaking: Kidnapped petroleum dealer in Ekiti Akinbami regains freedom.

A popular petroleum Dealer in Ado Ekiti, ALHAJI sulaiman Akinbami who was abducted last Sunday at his petrol station along Ado/ Ijan road has regained his freedom.

Sources close to ALHAJI Akinbami’s family confirmed to Progress FM Ado Ekiti the he was released this afternoon.

ALHAJI Akinbami has since been reunited with his family.

The suspected kidnappers had earlier demanded 20 million naira ransom before they could release the petroleum dealer.

However, it was not clear whether any money was paid to facilitate ALHAJI Akinbami’s freedom.

He spent exactly one week in the dens of kidnappers before he was set free.

When contacted, spokesperson for the Ekiti state police command, Mr Sunday Abutu also confirmed ALHAJI Akinbami release to Radio Nigeria.

Mr Abutu said the petroleum dealer was released at somewhere in Kogi state.

He stated that the police had been mounting pressure on the suspected kidnappers which made them to abandon the victim inside the bush in kogi state and took to their heels.
