Some yet-to-be identified gunmen have attacked the residence of Eris Paul, a former militant leader also known as Ogunbos at his country home in Peremabiri Community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The gun men razed his Mansion and others properties worth hundreds of thousands.
According to reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Christmas Day when the armed men stormed the community in speedboats shooting sporadically before setting buildings on fire.
A close family member to Ogunbos who would not want to be mentioned said he was attending a burial in the community only to witnessed this terrible attack.
He said the ex militant leader was still in the community, doing fine, only that some properties were destroyed .
Confirming the incident , the State Police Command Public Relations Officer,Mr. Asinim Butswat said though normalcy had restored several properties were damaged and no life was lost.
