Gender Based Violence: RATTAWU Wants Full Implementation of Relevant Laws.

The Radio,Television and Theater Art Workers Union, RATTAWU Women’s Wing in Ekiti State has urged members of the public to see the fight against Gender Based violence as a collective responsibility

The Chairperson of the Union, Mrs. Adebola Agbaje and the Secretary, Mrs. Bola Kolawole gave the advice in a statement in Ado-Ekiti in observance of the sixteen days of activism on Gender Based Violence.

Mrs. Agbaje and Kolawole explained that it required concerted efforts to achieve result against Gender Based Violence and ensure the protection of the women and girl child .

They appealed to the State judiciary for the full implementation of Gender Based Violence laws in the state and appreciated the state government for the naming and shaming of rapists.

The Ekiti State RATTAWU Women’s wing also thanked the Wife of the Governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi for her efforts at ensuring that women are free from violence and assault in the state.
