Radio Nigeria Staff Emerges RATTAWU Chairman in Ekiti.

A member of staff of Radio Nigeria progress FM Ado Ekiti, Mr Jasper Taiwo Falae has been elected the new Chairman of Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union, RATTAWU Ekiti State Chapter.

During the 2020 Delegates Conference held at the NLC Secretariat, Ado Ekiti, Mr Falae was declared winner after his opponent stepped down few minutes to the election.

Mrs Opeyemi Olasoji also a staff of Progress FM was elected unopposed as the Public Relations Officer.

Speaking on the occasion, the Special Adviser to Ekiti State Governor on Labour Matters, Chief Yemi Esan charged union leaders to imbibe the culture of diplomacy in the course of pressing home their demands from government.

Chief Esan said union leaders could achieve much with the use of diplomacy and dialogue and not necessarily engaging in confrontation.

Addressing the new executive members, National Chairman of RATTAWUN, Mr Kabir Tsanni who was represented by the Treasurer, Mr Abdulrasheed Akande urged them to be proactive in attending to welfare of members.

In his acceptance speech, the new RATTAWU State chairman, Mr Jasper Taiwo Falae expressed his readiness to lead a team whose focus is to take the union to an enviable height.

Some delegates who spoke to Radio Nigeria including the Chairman of RATTAWU Progress FM chapel, Mr Soji Afinjuomo and a member from Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, Mr Segun Oladunjoye were optimistic that the new officers would perform well.

Other new executive members elected to pilot the affairs of RATTAWUN for the next three years were the Vice Chairman, Ndidiamaka Igwe, Secretary, Ayodele Ogunmilade, and Financial Secretary Olusola Oladele, Auditor Kemi Joshua and Treasurer Olowe Adeniyi.
