The Ado Ekiti Roses Club of Inner Wheel International, District 913 Nigeria, began the new year with a heartwarming gesture by distributing maternity essentials to some new Babies born on January 1st, 2025.
The Beneficiaries included Kelvin Emmanuel and Ojumirayo Ogunbiyi, born at the Comprehensive Health Center, Ilawe Ekiti; Jeremiah Dauda, born at the Comprehensive Health Center, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti; and Rajab Hamsat and Elijah Olatomiwa, born at the Adejugbe General Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
During the gifts distribution, President of the Ado Ekiti Roses of the Inner Wheel Club, IWM Temitope Sola-Shittu, noted that the initiative commemorated the organization’s Founder’s Day, marking 101 Years of its existence.
IWM Sola-Shittu added that the Club’s efforts aim to support new parents and welcome the latest additions to their families.
Chairman of Inner Wheel Club, District 913, Nigeria, IWM Abimbola Solanke, commended the Ado Ekiti Roses Club for their selfless service to Humanity.
She emphasized the importance of cultivating a spirit of giving, no matter how small and encouraged everyone to foster love and peace in their communities.
The Officer In-charge of the Comprehensive Health Center, Ilawe-Ekiti, Mrs. Olayinka Olakunle and Mrs. Rachael Bodunde of Comprehensive Health Center, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti as well as Dr. Oluwadamilare Kuku, Medical Director at the Adejugbe General Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, all praised the Ado Ekiti Roses’ initiative, encouraging well-to-do individuals to following their example in rendering needed support to the less privileged.
In separate interviews, the parents of the babies expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the gesture and prayed that God would continue to bless members of the Adó Èkìtì Roses of Inner Wheel Club.
The baby essential items distributed include Diapers, Disinfectants, Oil, Soap, Wipes, Cotton Wools, Clothes and Detergents.
In addition to Baby essentials, the Club also donated assorted food items and sanitary towels to the Mothers.
