The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno has dissolved the state cabinet, including commissioners and special advisers.

Prince Enobong Uwah, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, the 10th of January, 2025 saying the dissolution takes immediate effect.
“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council, with effect from 10th January 2025.
“Consequently, all commissioners and special advisers are hereby directed to hand over to their permanent secretaries or the most senior director where there is no permanent secretary.
“The governor expresses his sincere appreciation to the outgoing Executive Council members for their dedicated service to the state.
“He wishes them well in their future endeavours and thanks them for their contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom,” the statement reads.
