We Will Do Everything Possible To Transform NYSC Camp, Put Smiles On Faces of Corps Members : Say Gov Oyebanji

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji says his administration will continue to accord priority to the infrastructural development of the NYSC camp and welfare of Corps members serving in the state.The Governor stated this today during the Swearing-in Ceremony of the 2024 Batch C Stream one Corps members held at the Orientation camp in Ise/Orin/Emure Ekiti.Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth Development, Mrs Akinwunmi Sola, Governor Oyebanji plan were being intensified to give the orientation camp a facelift.*Gov. Oyebanji said, “let me assure you that the state will continue to assist the NYSC within the limits of our resources*The NYSC in Ekiti State deserves more and we will do everything in our power to put smiles on your faces.” While he assured of accelerated administrative actions towards the refacing of major facilities and infrastructure, His Excellency emphasized on the need to give back to the State and the nation by extension, through selfless services in whatever aspect doable. Stating that the contributions of corps members who had served in the state have remained quite impressive over the years.*He therefore appealed to the corps members to redouble their efforts in their service to the nation and also to surpass the achievements of their predecessors.Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu who thanked Governor Oyebanji for his numerous assistance to the scheme, urged the youths to participate actively in all activities on the camp, particularly Skill Acquisition.*He added, in his words, “Your presence is pivotal to the success of today’s ceremony”. This he said, stating that despite the economic situation, more than a thousand corps members and counting have been registered already, with about 498 as males and 631 females, pointing to the dire passion in the Nigerian Youth to serve the nation*.The Acting Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye who administered the Oath of Allegiance on the over one thousand Corps members through Justice O. Olatawura that any one who violated the oath would be sanctioned.
