NUJ Delegate Conference: Ekiti NAWOJ Attributes Ronke Samo’s Reelection as testament to Women’s Capabilities in Occupying leadership position

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ, Ekiti State Chapter has applauded the reelection of Mrs Ronke Samo as the Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ Zone B.

Samo got reelected unopposed at the NUJ 8th Triennial Delegate Conference held in Owerri,Imo state on Wednesday.

NAWOJ described the development as a testament to the capacities/capabilities of women in occupying leadership position .

The women Journalists also congratulated the New President of the Union, Comrade Alhassan Yayha and Dr Mrs Abimbola Oyetunde, the first Female Deputy President and others on their election victory at the Delegate Conference.

The state NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Adewumi Ademiju, in a statement signed by the Secretary, Funmi Falae added that “Ronke Samo’s re-election as Vice President of Zone B was an attribute to to her hard work and loyalty to the Union”.

The Chairperson urged the newly elected leaders to keep their campaign promises and work towards moving the union forward.

NAWOJ in a related development also celebrated the former Chairperson in the state,Mrs Fatima Bello on her recent appointment as an exofficio of NAWOJ Zone B.

Ademiju prayed for a successful tenure for all the leaders in their various positions.
