NEW OLUYIN RECEIVES STAFF OF OFFICE.

Ekiti State Government says it has no special interest in any particular candidate who vied for the stool of Oluyin in Iyin Ekiti but only interested in peace, unity and due processes leading to meaningful development in the state.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi stated this while presentating the Instrument and Staff of Office to the new Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye in Ado-Ekiti

Governor Fayemi who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Ègbéyemi said that meaningful progress remained his priority, with a pledge that his administration would continue to provide necessary basic amenities across towns and villages in Ekiti.

Governor Fayemi appealed to the people of Iyin Ekiti to always allow the spirit of oneness and sincerity of purpose to reflect in their quest to move the town forward.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary Bureau of Chieftancy Affairs, Mr Adeniyi Familoni observed that the selection of Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye was made in line with the provisions of paragraph one section Eight of Ekiti State Chieftaincy law of 2012.

In his acceptance speech, the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye appreciated the Ekiti State Government, friends and those who had worked hard to ensure his enthronement and maintained that the victory belong to the entire people of Iyin Ekiti.
