…..Parades 24 suspected Criminals
As part of efforts to eliminate criminal activity in Ondo State, the Amotekun Corps has paraded 24 suspected criminals involved in various offences across different Local Government Areas.
The State Commander of the Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye who paraded the suspects before newsmen at the Corps Headquarters in Akure disclosed that the suspects were arrested in collaboration with other security agencies in the state.
Akogun Adeleye stated that the suspects were arrested for various offences which includes kidnapping, armed robbery, motorcycle theft, conspiracy, cable theft, illegal migration, possession of firearms, malicious damage of public property, breaking and entering, stealing, destruction of CCTV cameras, and serial shop breaking.
Regarding the recent kidnapping case in Supare Akoko, which resulted in one fatality and four victims being taken into the bush, the Commander said the Corps responded immediately in collaboration with other security agencies.
One of the kidnapped victims rescued by the Corps was Bisola Olisa, a 32-year-old student from Imeri, Ose Local Government in Ondo State.
The Onimeri of Imeri Kingdom in Ose Local Government Area of the state, Oba Shina Babatunde Adeniran, thanked the state government for supporting the Amotekun Corps, which has enabled them to fight crime in the state.
