EKITI LOSES VETERAN ACTOR

Late Chief Jimoh Aliu

A veteran actor, Chief Jimoh Aliu is dead.
The Okemesi Ekiti born actor died about three hours ago at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti during a brief illness.
Until his death, Chief Jimoh Aliu was the oldest performing artist in Nigeria at eighty-five.
Some of the films produced by the late veteran actor popularly called “Aworo’ includes Agbaarin, Yanponyanri, Igbo Olodumare and Arelu.
Reacting to the incident, Ekiti state Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Professor Ojo Bakare described late Chief Jimoh Aliu as a father father all performing artist in Nigeria who will be greatly missed by the entire nation.
