Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi says arrangements have been concluded with the Dangote company to reconstruct Omuo-Kabba road.
Dr Fayemi who stated this when he received the Olomuo in council at his office in Ado Ekiti said that the move followed his plea to the company to assist in the reconstruction to make it motorable.
According to the Governor, all the physibility study and survey of the road have been carried out..
The governor assured the visitors that OMUO and it’s environs would soon enjoy uninterrupted potable water supply after the completion of the rehabilitation work at the Egbe dam.
He explained that he had directed the commissioner for public utility to liase with the BEDC to find a lasting solution to the total blackout being experienced in OMUO for some months.
The governor hinted that his administration would soon embark on comprehensive renovation of general hospitals across the state and also provide the needed facilities to enhance qualitative health delivery in the state
Dr Fayemi who promised even distribution of social amenities across communities said that government would do the needful towards making Omuo-Edaile road motorable.
In his remarks the Olomuo of Omuo Oba Noah Omonigbeyin who led the delegation thanked governor Fayemi for appointing some indegenes of the community into key political positions.
The monarch who spoke on some of the needs of the community, commended the state government for rehabilitating the Omuo Isinbode-Ode-Agbado road.
