Ekiti Government Rolls Out New Academic Calendars, As Schools Reopen This Month.

Ekiti state ministry of Education has given updates on the reopening of schools as announced by Governor Kayode Fayemi.

A statement from the ministry says the third term for the 2019/2020 academic session will start on the 21st of September and ends on October 23.

According to the statement, the first term of the 2020/2021 academic session will run from 26th of October to 18th of December while their will be holidays between December 19 and January 3,2021.

Similarly, students are expected to resume for the second term on the 4th of January and this will end on the 26th of March as holidays for the second term will be between 27th of March and ends on the 18th of April.

Going by the statement, the third term is slated for between April 19 and July 23,2021.

The statement emphases that full academic work must commence in all schools across Ekiti state on the first day of resumption which is September 21,2020.

It adds that all national holidays will be observed as may be announced by the federal government.
