Update: Wife of Slain LG Director Narrates Last Moment with Husband.

Wife of the murdered Director of Administration in the Ekiti State Local government, service Commission, Mrs Olusola Jejelowo has appealed to the police and other security agencies to fish out the killers of her husband, Mr David Jejelowo.

Narrating the incident to newsmen in Ado Ekiti amidst emotion, Mrs Jejelowo said such killers must be brought to book to ensure justice.

She said members of the family of the late director were still wondering what Mr Jejelowo did to warrant his murder.

The deceased wife said they were in the sitting room watching television when they discovered that the net of one of their windows was shaking.

She added that they made attempt to look at what was behind the window when unknown gunman shot at them but she managed to run into the room and her husband was unlucky as he was hit by the bullet.

Mrs Jejelowo explained that her late husband was in the pool of his blood for over thirty minutes without any assistance before they rushed him to a nearby hospital and they were later referred to the EKITI state University Teaching Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

One of the children of the deceased, Opeyemi Jejelowo described his late father as an easy going man who will not like to hurt anybody, wondering what could have led to his murder.

In an interview, the spokesperson for the Ekiti state police command, Mr Sunday Abutu said nobody had been arrested in connection with with incident, but investigation was on going to unravel the motive behind Mr Jejelowo’s killing.
