President Bola Tinubu
has assured Nigerians that the country would soon experience
an improvement of the economy.
The President stated this in Owerri, Imo State at the inauguration of Gov Hope Uzodinma for a second term in office.
The Nigerian leader, who lamented the plundering of the economy by a few Nigerians in the past, said the harsh conditions brought about by removal of fuel subsidy, will soon fade out.
President Tinubu said things are already getting better and Nigerians will soon have good things to say about the economy.
He posited that, with the plans put in place by his administration, various sectors like health, education, security are all receiving better attention.
The President commended Gov Hope Uzodinma for his stewardship, describing him as Hope of the people.
In his speech after taking the oath of office, Governor Hope Uzodinma thanked the people for standing by him and voting massively for him and his party.
He gave an assurance of massive expansion of infrastructure to enhance economic growth
Governor Uzodinma said this is reflective of capital expenditure getting the lion share of the 2024 Imo State budget.
The Governor said several sectors like Industries, Agriculture, mineral resources, among others, will be further harnessed to bring about development of the state.
