Nigeria’s Super Falcons have defeated Cape Verde by 5 goals to nil in the first leg, final round of qualifier for next year’s Women African Nations Cup.
They match, which took place at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja saw the Super Falcons scoring through Uchenna Kanu(2), Esther Okoronkwo(2) and Gift Monday.
It was a match the Nigerian ladies completely dominated, which also showed in the scoreline.
Caretaker Coach, Justin Madugu and the Super Falcons did not miss their star player, Asisat Oshoala and five other regular players, who were not available for the game, as the home ladies put in everything they have to win.

Senegal 4–0 Egypt.
Mali 7–2 Guinea
Algeria 5–1 Burundi.
Tanzania 3–0 Togo.
B-Faso 1-1 South Africa
Angola 0-6 Zambia.
All second leg matches are billed for the 5th/6th of December, with aggregate winners picking the tickets for next year’s African Women Nations Cup, billed for Morocco.
The Super Falcons are to travel to Praia, capital city of Cape Verde, for the second leg.
In the meantime, the Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has revealed that the body is currently discussing with Super Falcons Coach, Randy Waldrum over the possibility of giving him a fresh contract.
