COMMUTERS EXPRESS DISPLEASURE OVER ADO-ARAMOKO ROAD

Commuters plying Ado-Aramoko highway have called on both Federal and Ekiti State Governments to fix the failed portions along the road.

A truck driver and two residents of Aramoko who do not want their name mentioned made the appeal while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the sideline of the spoilt portion that have been obstructing free flow of vehicles for more than a week.

The truck driver, who was coming from Kaduna to Lagos, said that he had spent three days, but had not be able to manouver the failed portion.

Similarly, the two Aramoko residents maintained that the failed portion between Areti river and Community Secondary School, Aramoko, had debarred vehicles from navigating the road, which had resulted to the long queue

The respondents suggested that the failed portion could be loaded with concrete as temporary measure for free flow of traffic.

They bemoaned activities of politicians who promised developmental projects during electioneering, but distance themselves from electorate after winning the elections.

Radio Nigeria’s visit to the highway shows that vehicular queues from both sides of Aramoko had stretched beyond the ancient town.
