The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Dare Ogundare has decorated the newly promoted Officers of the Command.
They are four Chief Superintendents of Police and four Assisant Superintendents of Police.
During the ceremony held at the Command’s Headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Dare Ogundare urged the officers to see their elevation as additional responsibility and a call to the service to the nation and humanity.
He implored them to be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police and ensure they acquaint themselves with the rules of engagement of their new ranks.
Responding on behalf of other officers, Mr Kolade Oluseyi Sunday, thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba for considering them worthy of the new ranks which will serve as a morale booster in their daily, mandatory and statutory responsibility of protection of lives and properties of citizens.
Mr Oluseyi Sunday also thanked the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundare Dare and other senior officers for their support, promising that the newly promoted officers will diligently discharge their duties and live up to the expected standard of the Nigeria Police Force.
