Residents of Oke Aso, along omisanjana road in Ado Ekiti are no longer at ease for a very long time now due to absence of social amenities in the farm stead.
The worries of the residents included gully erosion threatening their environment, lack of electricity, no health care facilities, shortage of water, bad road network among others.
Radio Nigeria correspondent who visited the settlement gathered that erosion has almost chopped off the only access road serving the community, thus posing danger to the residents and commuters plying the road.
Speaking on the development, the community spokes person, Mr Isaya Apeye sought government’s attention particularly in the area of road and bridge construction.
He said the only dilapidated road linked the community with igbara odo Ekiti where farm produce like plantain, pineapple, vegetables, yams and others are being transported to their respective markets.
“There are lots of farm produce coming from the farm stead as it can boast the internally Generated Revenue of the state if thoroughly attended to.
No water supply, the residents have depended solely on water from the stream which is also a source of water for bush animals. Apeye added.
He also appealed to the state government to assist some of their children who had graduated from high institution of learning to secure employment so as to become meaningful citizen of the society.
