The 2024 Ekiti State football league has kicked off at Afe Babalola University Sport Complex, Ado Ekiti , with a group B match serving as the opening game.
It was the match between ABUAD Staff Team and Premier FC.
Premier FC scored first but ABUAD Staff team came back to score 2 goals to win the match.
The opening game was watched by several dignitaries including the Ekiti state FA chairman, Aare Oluwole Oloworemo , some board members of the FA, Chairman of the league committee, Mr Soji Farotimi , as well as Mr Tanwa Oyebode and Pastor Segun Adelakun.
The official kick – off was taken by Professor Pius Okiki on behalf of Founder of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola.
In the meantime, other week one fixtures are billed for Tuesday 21st of May 2024 at different centres.
