The FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia has reached the semi-final stage, with Europe claiming two of the spots while Africa and South America have one spot each.
2001 Champion, France is up against the only remaining African team, Mali in one of the semi finals while another European powerhouse, Germany will confront South Americans, Argentina.
To reach this stage, three of the semi finalists eliminated their continental compatriots in the quarter-finals, with Germany beating Spain 1-0, Argentina had a 3-nil victory over Brazil while Mali sent Morocco out by a lone goal.
Of the four semi finalists, only France were former champions once, a title they won in 2001, beating record winners Nigeria 3-nil in the final.
The semi finals are billed for Tuesday, the 28th November, 2023, with both matches set to take place at the Manahan Stadium in the city of Surakarta, Indonesia.
The Argentina/Germany match takes place first with Portuguese, Joao Pinheiro as Centre Referee while the France/Mali fixture comes up later same day, same venue, with Gustavo Tejera from Uruguay at the centre.
Third place match is billed for Friday, the 1st of December, 2023 while the final match is scheduled for Saturday, the second of December, 2023.
